JUSTINE BLAZER - (Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Harmonica, Percussion):
National recording artist Justine Blazer is a 15-time Detroit Music Awards nominee and is an award winning singer, BMI songwriter, guitarist, entertainer and musician performing all over the country.
She has opened for national acts such as: Regis Philbin, Lonestar, Josh Gracin, Kathy Mattea, Terri Clark, Jason Aldean, Bucky Covington, Jason Michael Carroll, Whiskey Falls, Lee Roy Parnell, The Miracles, Thousand Foot Krutch.
Justine started singing when she was five years old, started writing songs at age eight, started playing piano at age 10, made her first Nashville demo recording at age 13, and started playing guitar at age 18.
She displays strong versatility in her performance and vocal abilities. She is able to sing so many style and genres including country, blues, rock, soul, jazz, r&b, and even opera. She has studied with many coaches and professionals throughout Nashville, New York and Detroit.
KERRY ADAMS - (Lead Guitar, Lead/Back Up Vocals):
Kerry started playing guitar at age 11 when he was inspired by the Rolling Stones, The Beatles and The Who. He began playing professionally at a young age and Kerry performed in numerous bands.
He has toured the entire country in everything from rock to blues to funk bands and has recorded or played on over 2 dozen album releases. He has played with Ted Nugent, Mitch Ryder and many more. During his early career, Kerry began designing, building and operating his own recording studios to produce original music and to host other bands and songwriters. He has arranged and recorded and released music for radio spots and television advertisers.
Kerry also develops and produces musical events for municipalities and private organizations. He is a professional live sound engineer and live sound recording specialist. Two of his albums have been nominated for "Best Recording" in 2007 and 2008 by the Detroit Music Awards.
He is currently and active member with BMI and is a Disc makers Partner in publishing material for both himself and other artists he produces. He is currently the guitarist in the Justine Blazer band and is recording her latest CD in his studio, Adams Audio Works.
MARK SUTTON - (Drums, Lead/Back-up Vocals):
Mark Sutton is a versatile drummer. He is a graduate (B.M.) from the Berklee College of Music. Mark has performed live with many national acts such as: Howard Jones, Gordon Lightfoot, Mitch Ryder, Earl Klugh, Leo Sayer, KC & the sunshine band and Tony Orlando. He has recorded with David Foster, Kid Rock, George Clinton, Brea Starr and What It IS. Locally he has been an in demand drummer with such acts as Dixiecrossroad, The Chance, Dr. Pocket, Nick Strange Trio, Cherie, Kentucky strait, Motown funk brother-Dennis Coffey and his own group other people's children.
Currently he is working with recording artist Justine Blazer, other local various groups and teaching a large roster of students, clinics and master classes at such institutions as the power chord academy (Chicago) and Michigan's Interlochen Arts Camp.
Drum set instruction includes, Moeller technique, Linear and polyrhythmic phrasing as well as methods from Ed Kaspik, Gary Chaffee Ed Uribe and Gary Chester, all of whom Mark has studied with. Chart reading for all levels.
RICK JACOBY - (Bass, Back-Up Vocals):
His own musical journey began with the upright bass in the 5th grade. He played the upright bass in school orchestras through high school. Favoring the low-end, He also played the tuba in concert bands and marching bands from the 8th grade through high school.
Rick discovered the bass guitar in the 8th grade, which has remained his primary instrument. In college and beyond, Rick played with the ska band, Buck. While with Buck, Rick performed on four independent albums and three nationally released albums, and traveled the country extensively - as far south as Mexico and as far north as Alaska, performing in a wide variety of venues.
Rick and his wife, Michele, moved to Austin, Texas, in 2004, where his love for music found a number of new outlets. Throughout his career in Austin, he connected with a number of local worship leaders, performing in a variety of venues from summer camps and church services of 12 to 2,000 people, to a church for the homeless that met under a freeway overpass, and everything in between.
After returning to Michigan, in the spring of 2009, Rick reunited with long time friend Doug Bridges when given an opportunity to play bass for national recording artist Justine Blazer. Rick also performed on Justine’s latest singles, “New Country Beat,” and “Real Pieces of me,” which have been well received by several local and national radio stations.
